SA-3 - Fifth Grade

Assignment Calendar

Course Description

Welcome to SA-3!  No matter if we are in school or at home, SA-3 is a group of hardworking, awesome fifth graders!

We will use this website as one way to inform of you assignments and  helpful resources moving forward.  Each Friday, lessons for each day of the upcoming week will be posted.  Lessons will be a variety of uploaded worksheets and Nearpod lessons.  To access Nearpod, please download the Nearpod app, or go to Nearpod.com.  We will be providing codes for Nearpod lessons that will launch your child's assignment.  Feel free to ask your child questions about how to use Nearpod because they use it all the time in school!  Miss Bambara and Miss Amedo will also be available by email if you have any questions at all.

Miss Amedo : [email protected]
Miss Bambara: [email protected]

Although we may be in different places, we will continue to work together just like we do in Room 400!  Stay safe, stay happy and remember to smile!

Police Officers - Story - Level H

Hello!

Here is the story Police Officers (Level H) from the Reading A-Z guided reading program. We have also uploaded the comprehension worksheet, phonics practice sheet, discussion cards, and comprehension quiz that goes with this story.
If your child is assigned to Level H (will be indicated in an email to you), please have them read the story independently and complete the worksheets. However, you may assist them with reading the story and completing the worksheets, if and when you feel it is necessary.
If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them via telephone (conference) or through email.

Thank you for your support!

GUIDED READING STRATEGIES

Hello!

Above, we have attached a copy of the guided reading strategies that we use on a daily basis at school to assist with strengthening your child's independent reading skills. If you have access to a printer, you can print out the attachment and use it as a bookmark, or just have it as a reference of strategies to use while your child reads the assigned leveled stories.
You will each be receiving an email indicating your child's guided reading level, so you will know which stories to complete with them at home.
If possible, we will also be emailing the stories and worksheets in an attachment, to make it more convenient for you. However, we wanted you to have access to the stories on the Tiegerman class page, as well.

Thank you again for all your support !
We will be in touch soon!
Be well!
