COVID-19 Relief Fund Letter:

Dear TCS Families

In the last few months, our world has changed in ways we could never have imagined.  People have lost their jobs, individuals are home from program, family members are getting sick, our adult programs are managed remotely, and there is an overwhelming feeling of uncertainty. Since we have been dramatically hit by this Corona Virus, it has taken a tremendous toll on our families, emotionally, financially, and socially.  As this pandemic continues, we are learning how this crisis has disproportionately affected our individuals and their families, and we are working hard to eliminate new obstacles that stand in the way of their programs and services.

While doing everything we can to provide our individuals with the supports and services they thrive on, we need your continued support.  Over the past few weeks, our community has come together through alternative channels, such as virtual programming (Day Hab, SEMP Comm Hab). Now we need to set our focus on what is next. In the future, adult service programs and workplaces will reopen, and it is vital that we do so safely.

To support our current virtual needs and our anticipated return, we need:

  • Support for the ongoing development of online programming
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) –  masks, gloves, enhanced cleaning equipment, air purifiers
  • IPads for individual use during programming

We are asking for support to aid our individuals and families during this critical time. The Tiegerman Community Services is strong, vigilant and resilient.  While the foundation of our organization was formed through language and communication development, it has been fortified by the persons for whom it was built. We strive to substantively change the lives of our individuals in order to help pave a bright future for every person we encounter. We are more than a community-based program; we are an organization that provides opportunities and resources to incredible families. We could not accomplish the goals that we set if it were not for generous supporters like you.

Thank you and stay well!
