Welcome to Preschool 2

Here you will find our Peek at the Week, which tells you what your child is learning. You will also find notices about upcoming events and activities taking place in our classroom.

May 4th letter

Dear PS 2 families,

Hope you are all doing well! We miss you all! We have posted our lesson plans and the activities/visuals that go with them for the week of May 4th- May 8th . You can find the activities/visuals on a file labeled for that day. For example, Monday’s activities will be in the file Monday, May 4th. All of our lesson plans are separated by subject Math, Literacy, Science/Social Studies, Fine & Gross motor and Play. Videos for the lesson plans will be posted nightly. For example, Monday’s video will be posted Sunday night.

This week’s theme is Mother’s Day:

Literacy:

  • Recognizing and naming the letters in their first name.
  • Writing their first name
  • Recognize and name upper/lowercase letters A & B
  • Write capital letters A & B

Math:

  • Sorting by color
  • Sorting by shape
  • Counting 1-10

Science/S.S

  • Recognizing baby and adult animals  
  • Mother’s Day

 

Fine/gross motor

We will be having our class zoom at 11:00 A.M on Tuesday, May 5th.  We will be doing a live math lesson on sorting by color. Check your email on Monday for the link to join. See you all then :)
