Assignment Calendar

Course Description

Welcome to SA-3!  No matter if we are in school or at home, SA-3 is a group of hardworking, awesome fifth graders!  
 
We will use this website as one way to inform of you assignments and  helpful resources moving forward.  Each Friday, lessons for each day of the upcoming week will be posted.  Lessons will be a variety of uploaded worksheets and Nearpod lessons.  To access Nearpod, please download the Nearpod app, or go to Nearpod.com.  We will be providing codes for Nearpod lessons that will launch your child's assignment.  Feel free to ask your child questions about how to use Nearpod because they use it all the time in school!  Miss Bambara and Miss Amedo will also be available by email if you have any questions at all.

Earth Day Craft!

We celebrate Earth Day on Aprill 22nd.  This is an Earth Day craft that you can complete to show why you "heart" the Earth.  Choose the pages that you would like to complete.  Cut, glue, color to complete your craft!  Take a picture and send them to your teachers so we can post them on our website!

Social Studies - Sacagawea

Hello SA 3! Today in Social Studies, we will learn more about Sacagawea and her important contributions to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Let's learn more about the Native American Shoshone woman, Sacagawea and how she led Lewis and Clark through western lands safely. She taught them about the plants and animals they came across, being their guide, "a token of peace", and helpful to the success of their journey in many other ways! Social Studies - The Lewis and Clark Expedition

Hello SA 3! Today in Social Studies, we will focus on The Lewis and Clark Expedition, a famous journey that took place int he early 1800s. Lewis and Clark, along with Native American Shoshone Sacagawea, would travel west observing and learning about the western lands. Sacagawea, being their guide, leading them to the Pacific Ocean! Hello SA 3! Today in Social Studies, we will focus on The Louisiana Purchase, a famous purchase by President Jefferson that nearly doubled the size of the United States! During the time in American history, Jefferson was interested in exploring the lands out west, and made this famous purchase that would make America bigger in size and inspire more exploration of western land.
