We read "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't afraid of Anything". We acted out the story with props. Here was our finished product. We had so much fun at Special friends/grandparents day!

Happy Friday- October 18th (English and Español)
Happy Friday! This week we learned all about apples. For science, we cut into an apple to identify the various parts. We then colored a handout to demonstrate what we learned about the different parts of the apple. In math, we sorted apples by color. This week we learned about the letters I and J. We made an iguana and jaguar out of the letters! For arts and crafts we used our picture to put ten apples on top of our heads, we created an apple by tearing red and brown paper and we created a caramel apple craft! Today, we took our individual and class pictures. We can't wait to see how they turn out.
Next week, we will be learning all about pumpkins! We are excited that this Monday is Grandparents/Special Friends Day! We have a very fun activity planned and can't wait for the day. We will post pictures of the event on Monday.

¡Feliz viernes! Esta semana aprendimos todo sobre las manzanas. Para la ciencia, cortamos una manzana para identificar las diferentes partes. Luego coloreamos un folleto para demostrar lo que aprendimos sobre las diferentes partes de la manzana. En matemáticas, clasificamos las manzanas por color. Esta semana aprendimos sobre las letras I y J. ¡Hicimos una iguana y un jaguar con las letras! Para artes y manualidades, utilizamos nuestra imagen para poner diez manzanas en la parte superior de nuestras cabezas, creamos una manzana rasgando papel rojo y marrón y creamos una artesanía de manzana de caramelo. Hoy, tomamos nuestras fotos individuales y de clase. No podemos esperar a ver cómo resultan. ¡La semana que viene aprenderemos todo sobre las calabazas! ¡Estamos emocionados de que este lunes sea el Día de los Abuelos / Amigos Especiales! Tenemos planeada una actividad muy divertida y no podemos esperar el día. Publicaremos fotos del evento el lunes. Ten un excelente fin de semana :)
