Course Description
Welcome to PS 7! Our classroom teachers are Ms. Wilkins and Ms. Block. Our classroom teacher assistants are Ms. Allie and Ms. Yazmain. As a whole, we work together to create a positive learning environment for all our students! We strive to meet the needs of each individual child and help them reach their full potential. We incorporate language into every aspect of our day and help the children become more independent. We believe it is important for our students to learn through play and to learn important social skills that will help shape their lives. We have thematic units that we use to teach the NY State Common Core Standards. We will upload our weekly newsletter with some of the books, crafts and activities we will be participating in. We will also include reminders about important or upcoming events. We encourage you to talk to your child about their day! Please check our class webpage regularly for our updates. If you have any questions feel free to write to us in your child's classroom communication notebook. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting year!
Bienvenido a PS 7! Nuestros maestros son la Sra. Wilkins y la Sra. Block. Nuestros asistentes son la Sra. Allie y la Sra. Yazmain. ¡Como un todo, trabajamos juntos para crear un ambiente de aprendizaje positivo para todos nuestros estudiantes! Nos esforzamos por satisfacer las necesidades de cada niño en particular y ayudarlos a alcanzar su máximo potencial. Incorporamos el lenguaje en cada aspecto de nuestros días y ayudamos a los niños a ser más independientes. Creemos que es importante que nuestros estudiantes aprendan a través del juego y aprendan habilidades sociales importantes que les ayudarán a formar sus vidas. Tenemos unidades temáticas que usamos para enseñar los Estándares Comunes del Estado de Nueva York. Incluiremos nuestro boletín semanal con algunos de los libros, artesanías y actividades en las que participaremos. También incluiremos recordatorios sobre eventos importantes o próximos. ¡Le recomendamos que hable con su hijo sobre su día! Por favor revise nuestra página web de la clase regularmente para nuestras actualizaciones. Remote Learning Lesson Plans for week April 13th - April 17th
This week we will start talking about community helpers. Community helpers help the community and keep us safe. We will be learning about firefighters and police officers. We will learn about the different tools and equipment that they use.

Hello PS 7 Families,
Hope everyone is doing well! Some parents have been emailing pictures and videos of their children along with their work. We would love to share these pictures on the webpage so the children can see each other and encourage them to do their work. Going forward to share these pictures we would need your permission to allow them to be posted on the webpage of your child’s picture and/or work they have completed. Please email us back if you give us permission. We appreciate all of the hard work you’ve done and are extremely proud of our student’s progress thus far.
