Mrs. Thuren's Office Hours

Dear Parents,

Going forward I will be having "office hours" where I will be able to better devote time and attention to responding to your emails/requests for phone calls. Those times are as follows: 9:30-10:00 (my prep), 11:30-12:30, and 3:00-4:00. Please note that if you contact me after 4PM, you might not get a response until the following day.

Also, should you request a 1:1 Zoom conference, I will gladly hold a conference with you during the period I would normally have your child in class.

Please refer to the schedule below:

Period 1 (9:00-9:30)- Homeroom 12 Reading/Writing
Period 3 (10:00-10:30)- Homeroom 13 English
Period 4 (10:30-11:00)- Homeroom 8 English
Period 6 (12:30-1:00)- Homeroom 11 English

Period 8 (1:30-2:00)- Homeroom 10 English

Checking-In (3.27.20)

Hi everyone!! Sorry I didn't post a check-in for you yesterday!

First off, thank you to everyone who has sent me their work via email. Please note that you do not necessarily have to email me your work. If you would prefer to email me copies of the completed work, that's great! Otherwise, you are more than welcome to just hold on to everything in one folder, then hand it in on the day we return to school. All the NearPod activities automatically get sent to me so you do not need to worry about submitting those as a separate assignment.

Today is Day 10 of our Remote Learning packets- please try your best to complete as much work as possible today!

Again, should you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

Thank you!

ReadTheory (HR12 only)

Please make sure your username is the following format:

FirstinameLastinitial19 (the first letter of your first name and your last initial must be capitalized otherwise you will not be able to log in).

Any other issues, please email me at [email protected] and I will try to fix them.

Daily Check-In (March 25, 2020)

Good morning, everyone! Just a couple of reminders as you continue working today on your packets:

1) for the NearPod lessons, all your answers automatically get submitted to me, so you do not need to worry about finding a way to print out your work

2) for the rest of the packet, any completed work can either be scanned and emailed to me (if you printed out the work beforehand), OR you can try to complete the work directly in the Word document, then save it and email it to me, OR you can keep everything in a folder to be handed in whenever we return to school. If you decide to scan the work to me, there is an app called DocuScan that can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. Just do whatever is easiest for you!

3)Zoom- I'm sure most of you have heard about the possibility of using Zoom during this time. I am in the process of setting up my Zoom, and will let you all know the details once they are all sorted out.

That should be all for today, you can always email me any other questions at [email protected]. If I think of anything else, I will post it here.

Have a great day!
