ELA Wednesday 3.25 &Thursday 3.26-Wanted Poster

This activity is intended to take two days to complete. It is okay if you need more time to complete it. The students are encouraged to use their imaginations and express their creativity for this project.

The 1st page of this packet is a template students can use to complete the novel summary presented on page 4. This is the only portion of the book report that students need to follow the story, Dragon, Dragon for. If need be, the study guide attached to yesterday's work can help fill in the blanks on the summary template.

The 2nd page of the PDF can be filled out as follows:
Title: Dragon, Dragon
Author: John Gardiner
Genre: Fairytale
Wanted: Dragon

The remainder of the sections (Reward Amount, Physical Description, Wanted For, and Last Seen) can be completed using nothing but the students' imaginations.

As mentioned above, the novel summary will be completed using the template provided on page 1 of the packet.

You do not need to arrange the sections to create a poster-- you can leave it in packet format.

ELA Friday 3/27 Reading Comprehension (Based on Movies)

Students have the opportunity to choose which movie they want to read and answer questions about. The options for this assignment are Toy Story (pg. 1) or Cars (pg. 2). Please read one of  the passages and answer the questions. Students do not need to write out their answers. They just need to underline the answer in the color that is assigned to the question.

Life Skills Monday 3.23-HR 11 & 13 Unscramble Money and Count Money Packet

On page 1 & 2 of the packet, use the picture provided to count the money and unscramble the given numbers so that the numbers represent the amount of money shown in the picture.

On page 3 of the packet you are practicing making change. Look at the amount of money you have versus the amount of money you spend to count the change you should receive. Draw a picture of the coins that make up the amount of change you should receive.

Life Skills Wednesday 3.25- HR 11 & 13- Chilly Change Game

Please print the Chilly Change game and cut out the cards! First, set up the board and place the "chilly cards" in a pile. Next, each player should pick a playing piece (penguin, polar bear, snowman). Then, pick a chilly card and do what it says. When you land on the space, count up the change shown on that spot. Continue adding up your change as you move along the playing board. Whoever has the most amount of money at the end of the game wins.
