REMINDERS!!
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held this Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday will be a half-day for all students. If you would like to meet with your teachers, please make sure to schedule an appointment on the TeacherReacher website (you are able to choose up to three teachers only).
The weather is starting to get cooler- students are encouraged to bring a pullover sweater or a cardigan to school if they get cold during class. Students are NOT allowed to wear hoodies during class!!
This Week in English 9 and 10 (Nov. 4-8, 2019)
Monday through Wednesday- REVIEW for TEST
Thursday (and Friday)- Act 2 TEST (final test of the first marking period)
*The marking period ends on Friday, November 8th. PLEASE DO NOT CLEAN OUT YOUR BINDERS UNTIL AFTER WE HAVE DONE OUR PORTFOLIOS NEXT WEEK!!*

Monday- Continue reading Act 2 and doing notes
Tuesday- Act 3 Vocabulary
Wednesday- Reading of Act 3
Thursday- Halloween Anagrams
Friday- Review of Study Guide for Act 2 Test (which will be November 7th)
"Romeo and Juliet" and "Julius Caesar" Act 2 Test
The 9th graders will be taking their "Romeo and Juliet" Act 2 test on Thursday, November 7th.
The 10th graders will be taking their "Julius Caesar" Act 2 test on Thursday, November 7th.
This will be the final test of the first marking period.
All study guides will be handed out Monday, October 28th.
This Week in English 9 (Oct. 21-25, 2019)
Monday- Act 2 vocabulary (students who need to finish their test will finish today)
Tuesday through Friday- Read and discuss Act 2 of Romeo and Juliet
This Week in English (October 15-18, 2019)
Tuesday- Review for Test
Wednesday- Review for Test (HR10 only will begin their test today and finish Friday due to their field trip)
Thursday & Friday- Act One test
Utilizing the Homework Site
Just a reminder, we are encouraging the students to utilize the homework site as much as possible- the majority of assignments and materials are posted on here regularly, and if additional copies are needed, students are reminded they should check the website.
This Week in English 9 (Oct. 7-11, 2019)
Monday: Finish Act 1 notes
Tuesday: Act 2 Vocabulary
Wednesday: NO SCHOOL
Thursday: Begin reading Act 2
Friday: Go over study guide for Act 1 Test
Act One Test
On Thursday, October 17th, there will be an Act One test on Julius Caesar for the 10th graders and Romeo and Juliet for the 9th graders.
Hard copies of the study guides will be handed out on Monday, October 7th- they are due back Friday, October 11th so that we are able to go over and review the answers.
Additional copies of the notes AND study guides will be posted on the HW site.

Hope you enjoyed the four-day weekend! Here is what we have in store this week:
Wednesday- 10th graders will finish their notes on Act 1, Scene 3 for "Julius Caesar"; 9th graders will begin reading Act 1, Scene 1 of "Romeo and Juliet" *Students who were absent last week will complete their tests today.*
Thursday- *Students will be handed back their tests- HW is to have them signed and corrected (counts as TWO homework grades)* 10th grade students will begin Act 2 by working on the vocabulary and using context clues; 9th grade students will continue reading Act 1
Friday- 10th grade students will begin reading "Julius Caesar" Act 2; 9th graders will continue reading Act 1
