Ms. Talley
Hi, I’m Miss Talley!
I have over 15 years classroom experience and hold a dual Masters in education with a Concentration in Autism. I have a Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and an Associates degree in American Sign Language. I have had the pleasure to work with children and young adults with special needs for the past 24 years as a teacher, sign language interpreter and job coach along side their families and other service professionals to maximize their learning potential and cognitive abilities. Together, we’ve helped improve their means of communication, fine motor, gross motor and social emotional skills.
At Tiegerman, we facilitate language throughout the school day both in and out of the classroom through structured and unstructured playtimes and small group instruction. We also develop and create our lessons and activities based on monthly thematic units that are in compliance with the regulations of the New York State Common Core Standards.
This year I have the pleasure of co-teaching with Ms. Miller and Patricia Agunzo (Ms. Tricia). We will be posting and sending home weekly newsletters to give you a snapshot of what we will be covering each week and communicating with you through your child’s communication notebook at least two times a week. If you need to contact us, please utilize the communication notebook or call us at (516) 609-2000 x223.
We look forward to working with you all this year and can’t wait to see the difference we will all make in the life of your child.
With So Much Gratitude,
Ms. Talley
