Bio

Hello!  My name is Chad Goldsmith and I am currently teaching Exploring Careers, co-teaching Life Skills, and 7th and 8th grade Reading and Writing.  My teaching philosophy is that all children can learn.

I graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts - Speech Communication and Rhetorical Studies degree and a Master of Science degree in middle childhood education and special education.  I am NYS Certified Generalist and Special Education Grades 5-9.

Exploring Careers

For the week of 1/22-1/25, students will be able to identify criteria needed to research their career choice, research the career cluster of Transportation, Distribution and Logistics, continue their research based upon their criteria worksheet, and present their career cluster research while their classmates use the rubric to assess their classmate's presentation.

7th Grade Reading and Writing

For the week of 1/22-1/25, students will be able to read and understand text while recognizing compound and sight words.  This week we will be focusing on folktales.  Students will be placed in reading, writing, educational games, and online reading (ReadTheory Program) centers which will rotate throughout the week.

8th Grade Reading and Writing
