Once they have finished listening to the book, your activity for today is to complete the Counting Caterpillars Worksheet which I will post on the class webpage.

Intro to Tuesday's Book Reading

After listening to my intro video, click on the link titled "Waiting For Wings" by, Lois Ehlert. This is the book they are going to listen to. After they have finished listening to the book, your activity for today is to post a video on flip grid pretending to be a butterfly. When you log into flip grid, click on topics, and click on the butterfly picture that reads pretend to be a butterfly. Pretend you are a butterfly, flying around outside in your backyard on a sunny day.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by, Eric Carle (Monday's Book Reading)

After listening to the book: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, your activity for today is to complete The Very Hungry Caterpillar worksheet which I will post on the webpage. What they would have to do is color the correct number of fruit that the caterpillar eats that day using crayons.

Weekly packet 5.4.2020

The theme this week is butterflies and their lifecycle.
On Monday, we are practicing our patterning skills after watching the teacher's video, matching the beginning sounds of objects to letters, and watching the butterfly lifecycle. We are also making a collage, doing yoga and playing Simon Says.
On Tuesday, we are sequencing the butterfly lifecycle, watching the teacher's video about the letter I, and watching the butterfly video on brain pop jr then completing the parts of a butterfly worksheet. We are also playing with a ball, weaving a placemat and making flashlight shadows.
On Wednesday we are counting butterflies, writing the missing letters in the butterflies and acting out the butterfly lifecycle on flip grid after watching the teacher's video. We are also cutting straws and making a necklace, drawing circles with our arms and legs and singing "Wheels on the Bus".
On Thursday, we are making a butterfly dot to dot after watching the teacher's video, watching the live lesson (9:30 or 10:30) on the letter J, and answering questions about moms. We are also painting with Q-tips, balancing along a line while balancing a book, and writing in salt.
On Friday, we are counting the number of dots in the butterfly wings, read along with the teacher in the video using a mini book and making Mother's Day cards. We are also drawing monsters, seeing with Koo Koo Kanga Roo and having a scavenger hunt for different textures in your house.
