NYC Public Schools

Attention Tiegerman Families: 

NYC Public Schools has just announced that NYC has hit the 3% positivity rate threshold, which will result in ALL NY City Schools going into remote effective tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th, 2020, until further notice.   

Please be advised that as of tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th, 2020, Tiegerman School at Woodside and Tiegerman High School in Richmond Hill will be going remote until further notice.    

With regard to our school buildings in Glen Cove, Tiegerman Preschool/UPK/Elementary School and Tiegerman Middle School, we are waiting on information on transportation from the NYC Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT).  

At this point in time, Tiegerman Preschool/UPK/Elementary School and Tiegerman Middle School are planning on holding in-person instruction tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th, 2020.  However, should transportation be impacted by the closure of NYC Public Schools, a follow-up communication will notify staff in these buildings as soon as possible of our instructional plans for tomorrow.  

Please also note, regardless of what happens at Tiegerman Preschool/UPK/Elementary School in the coming days, the Daycare Program in Glen Cove will remain open.
