Adobe Photoshop B

This course builds upon technical skills developed in Adobe Photoshop A.  Students will utilize the features of Photoshop to further work with image files. This half year course earns the student 1 HS credit.

Thank you all for trying to download Adobe Creative Cloud and install Adobe Photoshop.
 
I know some of you are having trouble with downloading and it depends on your devices.  Here is a free site that is really similar to Adobe Photoshop.  
 
If anyone would like to try it out.  It works on phones and ipads too!

By now you will have received your Day 16 emails with the links and codes for Nearpods in the emails you used to subscribe.  Day 16 Nearpod is required to complete but the free Adobe Creative Cloud download potion of the assignment is optional.  If you do not know what any of this means, please email me [email protected] and we will send you the email with instructions.
 
Please make sure you have completed all of the Week 3 Nearpod assignments and then continue on with Week 4.  It is okay if the Day 16 Nearpod is completed out of order so we can assist you as needed with downloading and installing the Adobe programs.

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Courtney from Homeroom 9 has been selected to be a part of the 30th Annual NYSATA Legislative Student Exhibit with her rendition of a Pina Colada photo! 
 
The New York State Art Teachers Association in partnership with NYSUT and in collaboration with our New York State Legislators organizes this exhibit to showcase the art programs in the schools. The exhibit also provides an opportunity for young artists to meet their state representatives and to talk about their work and their inspirations.
 
Unfortunately the exhibit was cancelled but I wanted to showcase Courtney's artwork for the Tiegerman Art Community to view!
 
For this assignment, in the Art with Adobe class, students used Adobe Illustrator to place a photo of a line drawing.  Students then used the pen tool or curvature tool to trace the lines.  These lines were converted into paths using the Area Type Tool and/or Type on a Path Tool.

For this assignment, in the Art with Adobe class, students used Adobe Illustrator to place a photo.  They then learned how to use the Image Trace panel to have the photo convert to a limited color palette.  Students then used the pen tool or curvature tool to create lines.  These lines were converted into paths using the Area Type Tool and/or Type on a Path Tool.  The students used the Eye Dropper Tool to select the same colors from the original photo.

Tomorrow I will show the artwork of our other Tiegerman Art student who was accepted into the same exhibit!

Day 1- 10 assignments show up as being due tomorrow.  I know some of you did not get to start them right away and they are PDF's.  It is only the activity page at the end that is needed. You can hand them to me when we return.
 
Day 11-15 are Nearpod assignments.  I have embedded them directly into the assignments page so you just have to scroll to each one.  You can complete them right there or use Nearpod.com and enter the code that is in the assignments description.

Unable to scan your work in? No Problem!

If you are having trouble scanning your work and e-mailing it, hold onto it!  Day 1 - 10 were PDFs.  Those activities you can hold on to if you are unable to submit them at this time.
 
For Day 11 - 15 all Computer Art work will be completed in Nearpod so you will be able to submit your answers directly through the website!

Are you seeing PDF's? Here's what you can do!

1.Please make sure you are subscribed to all of your classes.  If you need assistance, please let me know.
 
2. Please make sure you can access the first 10 days of assignments for each class.  
 
3. Some classes are PDF assignments.  You may print out the activity portion and have your child fill in the answers.  If you do not have access to a printer, your child may write their answers on a piece of paper.  Please make sure each paper is labeled with the subject and activity number.
 
To Submit work, you have some options, please see what works for you:
 
4. If you have printed activity pages or wrote answers on a separate piece of paper, do you have access to a scanner?  You may scan in the completed assignments to each subject teacher.  
 
5.  If you do not have a scanner, there is an app called DocSan that will allow you to use your phone to take a picture that will look like it has been scanned in and you can email that to your subject teacher.
 
6. You may also take a picture of the activity and e-mail that to your subject teacher.
 
7.  If you are unable to do the above for PDF assignments, please keep all activities neat and organized in a folder or box that your child can hand in when we return.
 
8.  Some classes have posted Nearpod assignments.  These assignments are submitted directly through Nearpod when you submit your answers.  For Day 11-15 assignments, you will see more Nearpod assignments posted to your class pages.

Just a reminder that the first 10 days of Assignments for my classes are PDF's. 
 
You do not need any Adobe programs to complete the assignments. 
 
The textbook pages are review and may help with filling in some of the activities. 
 
There is one activity per day that is either fill in the blank, multiple choice, short answer, or circling icons/symbols.
 
We will begin Nearpod assignments for my classes for Day 11.

Please subscribe to EACH class period that I teach you.  As of now, there are 10 assignments for you to complete for each class that I teach you.
 
If you are in Homerooms 8, 9, 11, I teach you for Photoshop B AND Art with Adobe.
 
If you are in Homeroom 10, I teach you for Photoshop B.
 
 
Each class has 10 assignments.  These first 10 assignments are in a PDF format. 
 
For Photoshop B, the last page of the PDF is the activity that is to be completed.
 
For Art with Adobe, the last page of the PDF is the activity that is to be completed EXCEPT for Day 5.  Day 5's activity is the second to last page.
 
Hope this helps you complete these 10 assignments!
