Dear Families,

We hope that you are all healthy and safe during this difficult and uncertain time. We have been working hard to create some remote learning lessons and activities for your child to work on this week in addition to the work packet that was previously sent home. Many of these lessons will utilize Nearpod. You can access these lessons by going to Nearpod.com or by downloading the Nearpod app. We have attached instructions for your convenience. Every week, we will post each subjects lesson plan under the files section on the class webpage.  In addition to these lessons, we have also created individualized games differentiated to each child’s IEP goals or to reinforce specific skills. These games can be found by clicking here: https://www.pinkcatgames.com/go/IXxtMtbP_Sh52ZGRbndlhw

Once you enter the website, please click on “students” and find your child’s name. These games can be played as frequently as you would like, but we do recommend that your child plays at least 2 games per week.

This is a learning experience for us all and we are always here to help. We will be in contact with each of you daily by phone. During these conversations, we will discuss any modifications that may need to be provided for your child to complete a lesson. We look forward to speaking with you all. Please tell your child that we are thinking of them and miss them dearly!

Sincerely,

Ms. Lake and Ms. Pierno

May is the month of Compassion

C is for Compassion - Sudhanshu Mishra - Medium

Character Education
Each month, students will learn about  a trait that will help them get along with others and foster leadership skills.  Some students may be nominated as person who has demonstrated the month's specific character trait and their picture will be featured on a display in the main lobby.

This month's trait is Compassion.  Compassion is showing care and concern for the needs of others; being supportive of others; being forgiving; not holding a grudge.
