Global History 9 (Period 8)

Course Description

This course studies world history from prehistory until the mid-eighteenth century. It begins with a unot of ancient civilization and ends with "Global Absolutism." Many facets of culture are examined, including religion, geography, economics, political science, anthropology, history, sociology, and archaeology. Students explore and analyze significant historical cultural regions, specifically East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Western Europe.

Hello everyone,
 
I know that Remote Learning can be difficult at times and do to many different reasons, assignments are not being completed the day of. First off, that is okay. It is understood that you are working on other class assignments and also have to deal with a multitude of other things that keep you from successfully completing these on time. Below are the codes for the assignments that you may owe. Please make them up when you get an opportunity to as they are going to be taken down from the main page where your current week's assignment's codes are listed:

In an effort to simplify the process of finding your weekly Remote Learning assignments, Tiegerman Staff has consolidated the location of all your assignments. To find these links, from the Tiegerman Homepage, click on "Schools (Pre-K-12), scroll down to "Tiegerman High School Remote Learning". ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE you will see all the Homerooms. Click on yours/your child's Homeroom. You will see all the assignments from each class listed there for the week.

Hello 9th and 10th graders and your parents. Welcome to the first week on Remote Instruction. I hope this all goes smoothly. Please go to your respective class (Global History 9 OR 10) and your respective period you have me to see what your assignment is. All assignments will be done on www.nearpod.com
in which you will type in the code I have provided for you for that daily lesson. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

The Byzantine Empire

After Rome fell in 476, we are about to enter the Middle Ages (Medieval Period). Before we dive into this, we are going to take a look at the half of the Roman Empire that didn't fall to invaders, the Eastern Roman Empire aka the Byzantine Empire.
