Reading and Writing

Course Description

September 2019 : Students will be reading text passages each day. This month we will be using several strategies to enhance students comprehension. They will include "making connections" to passages and "visualization" while reading. There will be a writing component as well, such as Story Starters to engage students during the writing process

Season's Greeting

Wishing everyone a very peaceful and joyous holiday season! The students have done a wonderful job on their daily reading and writing assignments, last week. They will be doing Compare and Contrast essay in class this week, along with their daily reading assignments. 

HW 12-3 and 12-5

Welcome back, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
The students will begin working on a "Descriptive Essay" in class, along with their daily reading comprehension assignment.

Hi!
Hope you all enjoyed the 3 day weekend. Attached is the homework for the week. We are back to reading "What Happened in History" on these days, as per students request! They really enjoyed these assignments.. Students will be focused on creating a "seed List" of all they are thankful for.

Hi All! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather! This week the students are writing a personal narrative and reading their daily passages.
