Course Description

  

Students have been  introduced to simple musical concepts using Music and the Brain curriculum. Activities include singing, clapping rhythms, movement, playing percussion instruments and bells, listening, finger exercises and music games. Students analyze each piece by studying musical notation and eventually get to play each piece on the keyboards. The ultimate goal of each lesson is for students to become comfortable with musical concepts through engaging repertoire, and to reinforce strong listening skills.

Four Notes

The song “Four Notes” focuses on steps going up, down and repeated notes. The goal is for students to play the song with both hands  in the treble and bass clef.
