Course Description

In ELA students have been working on the skill of determining the Main Idea of a story. They are reading some interesting and motivational stories about athletes who compete in the Paralympic Games and seeing how people with physical disabilities can overcome great adversities to achieve their goals and dreams.  
 
In Writing our students have been creating a short essay on what their greatest snow day would entail.  
 
In Science we are learning about matter and its different forms and properties. They are able to differentiate the difference between physical and chemical properties.  
 
In Socialization we are discussing three types of behaviors which are being passive, aggressive and assertive. They are discussing what each one means and watching a video for examples of each behavior. 
 
In Social Studies we are examining the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and reflecting on what he helped achieve during his life and the Civil Rights Movement. 
 
In Math we are working on rounding to estimate products.
 
We are all working very hard and looking forward to a long weekend.
