In order to try to keep your child in a routine please have them complete the calendar on the website Starfall.com. Every morning in school we do a morning meeting where we discuss the calendar and the weather. We also do a simple question of the day. We will post a question of the week. Please have your child answer the question as well as ask the people in your home. Feel free to also ask other people if you are doing any facetime visiting :)

In addition to the work assigned we will be posting some extra activities! This is all the sight words we have learned so far. Please try some of these fun activities to practice sight words!
 
  • “Rainbow Write” your words for practice.
  • Sky-Write your words (like we do in Fundations!)
  • Be a “word detective” and find the words in the books you are reading.
  • Make up a song that sings the letters of the word you need to learn.
  • Use paints or water color paints to paint your words.
  • Use a small whiteboard to write the words on for practice.
  • Use sidewalk chalk to write the words on your driveway.
  • Have an adult read the words to you while you write them down. Check your work when you are done.
  • Write your words in a notebook to practice them.
  • Make your words out of play-dough.
  • Use Wikki-Stix to make your words.
  • Use magnet letters to make your words on a cookie sheet.
  • Squirt shaving cream on a cookie sheet and practice writing your words.

Click on the section that says students and then click on your child's name. These games can be played as often as you would like however, we encourage your child to play at least two per day.
