Students have been introduced to simple musical concepts using Music and the Brain curriculum. Activities include singing, clapping rhythms, movement, playing percussion instruments and bells, listening, finger exercises and music games. Students analyze each piece by studying musical notation and eventually get to play each piece on the keyboards. The ultimate goal of each lesson is for students to become comfortable with musical concepts through engaging repertoire, and to reinforce strong listening skills.

We are currently studying Johann Sebastian Bach and are working on one of his pieces, "Musette". The piece is attached. There are two versions depending on the student's ability. The harder version includes the left hand in middle C position.
